Community College and Career Training Grants
$500 Million
The Department of Labor (DoL) currently seeks grant proposals focused on community colleges strengthen their education and training programs. DoL grant funding will support innovative program models or the replication of evidence-based strategies and be used for a wide range of activities, so long as the activities align with the program’s four priorities. Among other things, funding may be used for developing and delivering new open courses, open educational resources, curricula, obtaining instructional supplies and equipment, and implementing and enhancing information technology used to provide education and training.

| Who May Apply | Institutions of Higher Education offering programs that can be completed in not more than two years (including public, proprietary, or other nonprofit educational institutions). Consortium applications may be filed by two or more eligible institutions. |
| Grants Range | Individual grants will range from $2.5 million to $5 million. Consortia grants will range from $2.5 million to $20 million. These ceilings may be exceeded under certain limited conditions. |
| Grant Period | The grant funding generally will cover a 36-month project period, although shorter funding periods may be proposed. |

| Cost Sharing | Cost sharing or matching funds are NOT required, but are encouraged. |
